We believe there is one God, eternally existing as three persons of one substance and power: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ—He is the Word of the Father, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary—God incarnate. He was tempted yet sinless in His life. He suffered, was crucified, dead and buried. He was resurrected from the dead by the power of God, ascended into heaven and presently at the right hand of the Father.
Matthew 1:20, John 1:1, Ephesians 4:8-10, Hebrews 12:2 and Revelation 1:18
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity is active in the world today glorifying Christ; regenerating and renewing those who are repentant and convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all those who experience the new birth. We believe in the baptism or infilling of the Holy Spirit that empowers the saints for service and life, giving gifts to believers through which the church is edified. We believe all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit are for today.
Acts 1:8, John 16:14, Matthew 28:19, John 16:7-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 12:3-8,
1 Corinthians 12:1-31 and Ephesians 4:11-13
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error in the original manuscripts. We believe the scriptures are the final authority in all matters of life and doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell through sin. Thus, every human is born with a nature to sin and sins, falling short of God’s glory and perfection. Further, man is not able by his own ability to recover from his fallen state.
Romans 3:23, Genesis 1:26, 1 Corinthians 15:22 and Romans 5:12-19
We believe that God has provided for man’s redemption from the penalty of sin (eternal destruction in hell) by the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ—our redemption purchased by the blood of Christ. Salvation is accomplished through the new birth.
1 Corinthians 15:22, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:1 and Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved to eternal life in heaven and the bodily resurrection of the unsaved to eternal death in hell.
John 5:28-29, 1 Corinthians 15:16-17, John 14:2-3 and Revelation 20:11-15
We believe in the catching away of the saints, the seven years of tribulation, the millennial reign of Christ and the ultimate defeat of Satan.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 1 Corinthians 15:49-57 and Revelation 20:4-6
We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to help fulfill the great commission - evangelizing the world and discipling believers.
Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8
We believe in water baptism by immersion. Water baptism is an outward witness to the world of an inward cleansing of the individual. Baptism symbolizes submission to God, the dying of one’s old person and the resurrection of a new life in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12, Acts 8:36-38, Romans 6:3-4
